RIght, playing tomoro, playing with 2 professionals actually so I there to make them look gud haha. Anyway they have got golf GPS's and im gunna keep track of all my shots and mark the card properly as we r on full greens. Hopefully Il get it posted up here tomoro nite for you guys to criticise me. Il refrain from posting distances as i know its a touchy subjects with my posts but i suspect the GPS will reveal me for what I am and I will be a lot shorter than previous flight monitors have told me.

Anyway chaps im looking forward to the game and your inputs aswel!

I thought i'd brace you for the mess that is about to come :(
 
Wood or long iron off as many holes as is practical. Even if it only saves your mates having to help you look for your losties!
I'd say they will use driver as little as possible too so relax and enjoy it. Definitely don't start getting upset with a bad shot, they and you both know you are no pro so roll with the good and bad.
 
Post your distances! It will be interesting to know how they measure up to expectations, nothing more.

I'd say just knock something off the tee that will keep you in play, even if it leaves you a longer shot at the green... but we want distances now... so get yer driver out and rip it!!! :)

i cnt tell if you want distances,,,,,, or whether your just baiting me so i post them so that everyone hates me for talking about it :p

il be honest, in winter conditions, weather report says 0 degree i cnt see the ball travelling very far

Play your own game, don't try and knock the spots off the little white blighter if they happen to be longer than you.

i am looking forward to it, first game for 5 weeks so it wont be pretty i know that. its a par 72, 6490 yards long so its going to be a killer in the wet. I will be happy with anything under 78 i think or at least thats the plan i think.

Seriously I'd be fine with you posting your distances, as you say it's Winter, cold and you'll probably get no run at all... some may even be into the wind, that is why it would be good to post. I reckon it'd help everyone who thinks they can hit it 280 all year round. I couldn't care less if your drives go 230, 210 or 190... HONESTY would be the best answer.

Blimey :eek:, 78, if you shoot less than that in these conditions the better players on here will want tips from you.

Distances would be nice though. :D

right i will put distances up. I dont know how the GPS systems work whether it will record my shots for me or whether i need to make note of them each time. Either way im sure il sort something out

Justone, I agree and honesty is what u get. Whats the point of lieing in cyber space. If i was goign to lie it in real life at least then i cud see reactions! haha.

Im not expecting big hits but it is a long course so i wont be taking irons off tees unfortunatly so it should give an accurate representation of things.

I look forward to the critique i just hope I give you all something to look at tomoro nite!

A tad unfair.It was always my intention to keep it in play. Just because I lack sufficient hand/eye co-ordination and swing like two octopuses in a fight doesn't mean to say my intentions were wrong :eek:

i was waiting for this haha, its 7102 off the championship tees. Wont even be looking at those haha

one is my mate so im not intimidated by them but i want to preform all the same. Just cleaned the clubs so i at least look respectable!

i think il only hit 2 or 3 drives over 310....... :p

Did you actually ask for advice on how to play, or have i missed something ? (wouldn't be the first time) Oh i see it is in the title.

You must be low single figures that knows you own game. My only advice would be if it is frosty, don't use white tees
