Best I've had is 35 points (SSS 37).........

I've played four counting rounds and made buffer once. Pretty rusty at the moment and wet an wild conditions not helping...

Missed handicap 3 times, beat it 7 times... started on 6.3, down to 5.2. 3 rounds in the 80's, 7 rounds from 76 down over(par 72).

Waiting to here what the CSS was from yesterdays medal. If it goes up then this only be the 2nd qualifier of then year and my first buffer/cut.

Up 0.4 2 X NR and never made buffers x2 . Ill blame being new to links golf. Good feeling there's a cut coming on this weekend

Only played 2 rounds so far this year, neither to handicap. Feeling good about my chances soon though, as I got 33 last time while scoring only 1 on the first 4, owing to a somewhat rusty swing. Still, it's light in the evenings and rugby season is nearly over, so I'll be back out hacking the course up plenty soon enough.

A big fat no for me! Although I do feel like my game is coming together and some time soon I'll be getting a good cut! He says lol. I've never felt this good with my swing though, had hit at the clubs range last night and was hitting my irons the best I've ever hit them. I know that come the medal on Saturday I'll probably play like a complete plonker!

Our last 3 rounds were Qualifying Murg......Up to then the weather had everything up in a heap...... Iv had 2 Nett Level Par rounds and last weekend i Shot a Nett 70 in our Monthly Medal...CSS was 72 so 0.6 cut....... down to 13.5 now.....

Games looking pretty good.... Just need the sand now to do a disappearing act from the greens and for them to get rolled and cut and the weather to get a bit better ( not hoping for much am i ? ) and hopefully the handicap will start tumbling...

Yes and no.

Just the two goes since getting handicap. Yes the first time as CSS was 73 so in buffer, second time no as just managed to break 90

1st qualifier on Sat PM after a 5 hour drive from Hull, after a black tie dinner on Friday night.

Looks like the chances are I could be going up

One qualifying round only, and spot on SSS. Previous qualifying round when I got cut was on the 27th December.

Playing a big board competition on Sunday. It is the day after the Selbourne Salver, Amateur competition with the highest qualifying handicap being plus 1. We play the same tees, pins, and the greens are rolled on the day. Guaranteed 0.1 as I will struggle as usual to break net 80. Par 69 and the SSS usually goes out to about 73. Not sure why I put myself through the torture. 40 plus putts guaranteed.

Although I did shoot 40 points round the old course last week so I know i am there or there abouts!

On an aside my brother entered his Comp score this weekend and was some what surprised he was in fact 19 and not 18 which he has been playing off in bounce games since last Aug !!!!!
