I have never left a golf course with so much mud splattered on my trousers before :).

Went over for a quick 9 holes, Bobmac wasn't there so I just went straight out on the course, no knowledge of the course and no warm up.

I eneded up playing the longest holes (Two tees per hole)it ammounted to par 38 when I checked afterwards.
Bogey,Bogey,Par,Birdie(very nearly eagle after green in one and pulling up 2inches short from the hole),Scrambled Par,Par,Par,Par,Par.

It was'nt a course par that offered me much of a challenge to make par, big fairways and little trouble for the distances I hit, I did enjoy playing it though until I saw my pants! :(. If I play again I hope its dry, but I dont think I'd take all my h/c along with me ) I think its a cracking course for people to learn the game on and a good course for competent golfers to get great scores, but the mud splattering?????Yuk! I feel for bobmac when he's teaching. :D

Lovely little clubhouse though that looked really busy, real shame about the mud splatters though, I wondered why some were laughing in the clubhouse when I was on the 9th? Then I noticed my pants! :D

Shame I missed you. I was there until 1pm but had to leave for a lesson elsewhere.
You're right about the mud. The course is built on clay and takes ages to drain but a very friendly club and never have to queue :)
Did you meet 'Big Bird'?

Carole. She was the BIG girl in the kitchen. She is married to the barman and they both own the club.
The reason it was busy is because there was a local bowls club having a bit of a do there.
A good way to supplement the clubs' income :)

Good idea Bob, no I did'nt see big bird but the barman seemed a good chap and everyone I passed spoke so you cant ask for more than that. I did like playing there, honest, I'd love to play again, how do you cope all the time teaching in it bob? :D

If I go off line it will be brief, my modem is playing up as I have a crappy line connection :(

I wash my waterproofs every day lol.
On the range left of the 1st fairway, I have some astro-turf mats so at least its dry to hit off.
I'll give you a shout when the water drains away
