its on mats till the open as well stayed in the hotel next to the 18th the other week, glad i didn't take the offer up of a round.

Played yesterday, not on mats but there are a few roped off GUR areas. It's not in prime condition, to be honest, obviously on a programme to peak for the open.
i image karen if you were playing in a comp they maybe made an exception, but they were def playing of mats the other week.
TBH, as you say its didn't look in great condition, there was a fair amount of standing water in the bunkers you could see on the 1st and 18th and the holes nearer to Prestwick looked very wet.

Ideal money spinner, lots of local qualifying comps at clubs, regional finals and maybe a field of 100 playing in 2017 ...... not for me thanks, I'll watch The Scottish Open I stead 😉
