anyone watch it last night ,those racer snakes are horror movie stuff or what .imagine that lot coming for you en mass like that ,and at that speed.
no wonder man has an inherent fear of snakes .

The whole episode was absolutely brilliant.

The snakes was indeed horror movie stuff. The bird laying an egg on a branch was the height of laziness and finally getting off penguin island was hairy to say the least.

Yes, great tv and fantastic filming.

Had to feel for those battered and bruised Penguins after the storm. How they can live and survive in such harsh conditions is truly amazing!

Outstanding television. Attenborough is a favourite of mine. Genuine reality TV.

The footage captured is awesome and I cant wait to see the rest of the series. Them snakes though...

Yup utterly brilliant. That young lizard that escaped omg. Said to Missis T that will be on goggle box.

:D

You're absolutely spot on. It will be. Hands over eyes as they all say they cant watch but do through squinted eyes and a half turned head

Just finished watching it, superb viewing, the snakes and then the Aquatic Iguanas that can swim to a depth of 30m and hold its breath for 30 Minutes, fecker looked like Godzilla in the water.
The Ants! squirting acid in the poor crabs eyes.

Can't wait for next week!

Have set the Humax to record the series.
Absolutely brilliant viewing.
The dedication and perseverance of the camera crews is second to none.
Sir David Attenborough is truly an icon and it will be a very sad day indeed when he hangs his hat up.

I'd go as far as to say that we have been extremely privileged to share his lifetime Smiffy. His knowledge of & enthusiasm for his subject I can never see being equalled, and I find it hard to believe he is 90.

And let's not forget the "back room staff" that make this possible; watching them get onto & off of Penguin Central was possibly scarier than the snakes!

I thought the whole programme was absolutely outstanding.
I can't imagine how many awards this series will win.
Nature is truly astonishing and it absolutely took my breath away.
I've always had a soft spot for honey badgers .................... but those racer snakes are utterly brutal in their efficiency.

Couldn't have put it better myself Rich.
His programmes alone make the licence fee worth paying.
One of the few presenters who has you hanging on his every word.

I actually enjoyed the 'diarys' footage as much as i did the actual footage. It was the same with LIFE. I really looked forward to the last 10 minutes of 'behind the scenes'.

Makes you appreciate what you've watched even more.
