Hoping the tinkerers on here might have a few pointers.

Thinking about buying some shafts for my fairways and was wondering if there's any decent sites where shafts can be picked up, other than eBay?

Thanks in advance

Ebay is a good place to start as you can pick them up with adapters pre installed.

Thanks.

Do you know much about swapping out etc... ?

Very interested to understand what I'd need. Assuming I have adaptor on current club so would just need a shaft with the right diameter tip?

Other than ebay I don't know anywhere for second Hand mate.
If you don't mind paying for New then Gamola have a good stock.

Most are Not cheap but personally I've always got on with the Aldila VS Proto shaft which isn't too pricey on there.
I've got it in my Antique Titleist Driver and g15 4 wood

Cheers Dave, am after an Aldila Tour Green. Hopefully pick one up off a cheaper LH Fairway Wood.

Haven't got the foggiest what to do with it when it lands though!!!

That'll fit well in your bag with the rest of your clubs

To be honest, adaptes make life easier as otherwise you would need a shaft puller.
Best bet is to get a new adapter and just prep and glue the new shaft. That way tip size is less of an issue as you can just get an adapter with the required bore.

Tip Trim the shaft per the manufacturer instructions (if applicable) , butt trim to length and then abrade the tip to prep. Glue in to the adapter and Robert is your Mother's Brother.

Think I have an Aldila Tour Green 3 wood shaft in X flex with a Taylormade (SLDR) adaptor. Any chance that fits your requirements?

Wish i had the minerals for an x flex but unfortunately not.

Welcome to the thread to Steptoe & son.
huds,

what makes you think you need an x flex shaft?

Have you had a trial with different shafts?
