My club are currently offering a sleeve of the above for free to trial during the winter season. Being that with leaves etc in the winter months causes more lost balls with a slightly wayward shot (my speciality) i was looking for a cheaper ball so am going to give them a try Wednesday.

I was just wondering if anyone else has tried them and if so what did they think?

Are they an acceptable ball?

Ah I see SocketRocket. I had no idea. So they can't be too bad then.

And Blackpuddinmonster that is a very true point! Haha. Although I've been told some balls may help lower scores as more forgiving. Being fairly new to golf I am willing to take any advantage I can!

The advantage is found in having a consistent ball, not having the best balls or the most forgiving balls.

You can play dunlops and as long as you know how far they go, how fast they roll on a putt etc its a better ball than the shiny new PROV1 you bought in the pro shop on pay day.

Never hit a ProV1. Currently using the Taylormade Practice.

In winter conditions with wet greens I don't think you'll have any problem stopping them on the greens. From my own perspective I find them too hard off the putter and around the greens but for nothing what have you got to lose.
