Ping!

Evening all...
Has anyone got the same problem as me.....I cant pass our local golf shop on a friday without having a snoop........No more often than not im in for bargains but today i think i got a good one......

I managed to pick up a Ping Karsten Anser Redwood for 80 euro's 2nd hand....Now i wasnt keen on this style of putter im a little inconsistent with the strike which is why i shyed away from them when i took the game up....Currently i use a TM Itsy but i just could not pass this up......

I have the winter to make it work for me anyway....

Still i suppose it was a bit of a stea for 80 bucks....Its in great nick.

Normally about £160 so think you got a bargain. If you don't get on with it i might take it off your hands

If you use an Itsy and you prefer a mallet style putter I think you may struggle if I'm being perfectly honest. I had a Redwood Anser at the beginning of the year and I loved the look and feel however I just feel more comfortable with a mallet style putter.

I now have an Itsy!

Spot on Craw....I have the mallet 2 yrs and its been good to me but id love to get confident with something smaller......We'll give it a go anyway and see what becomes of it.......Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Good deal Kid but are you old enough for Ping?

I love my Ping Anser, its not the same as that but very similar. When I got it I so wanted a TM Ghost but I just putted better with the Ping. The pro that sold it to me so wanted me to have a Ghost too as it was £30 more.

I think it will be hard for you to go from one style to another but I am sure you will let us know how it goes.

35 ah ok you the same as me, we are in the Ping zone mate, not full paid up members but in the zone.

As for the ping....I suppose one day we'll all play them at some stage

Ping is fast becoming another 4 letter swear word. The more I hear it the more it is calling out I15 or S56. I love both to death and having hit the I15 driver so well as well it's fast becoming an irritating itch and we all know the only answer is to scratch it

I'm still holding strong. I'm more worried I'll be ordering Sushi by Sunday night after trying all the new Mizzy ranges. The silly thing is even as a confessed TM gear whore I'm not at all excited about the new 2.0 burners and just think they've done a Wilson and gone super silly on the lofts. It'll be interesting to try them (hoping their demo model is coming tomorrow morning) but I can't get overly enthused

Homer, if you tryed the Burner 2 and they seemed a little nicer than the Burner 09 would you switch?

They would have to be pretty special to replace my TP's. Having had the R9's I can see they would give those a good run for their money. I never had the Burner 09 but did have the Tour Burners. I think they will be on a par with those in which case they will be a pretty solid performer
