Ping Torsion Trousers - water and wind proof!

Thinking of getting some of these as they are waterproof (from the outside before any smart ar$e comments re: incontinent Ping players), but are like 'normal' trousers rather than waterproof overtrousers.

Anyone got any and, if so, are they comfortable and indeed waterproof?

Any other suggestions gratefully received as I always carry rather than trolley and the reduced weight of extra waterproofs would be welcome.
