Hi Guys,

Just at home after the putter fitting, really great day.
I will do a full write up tomorrow, in the meantime here are a couple of pics of the tour truck, the putters lined up and my new putter :)
Really pleased with the putter, it's great.

The tour truck was the actual European tour truck, it was awesome. The Ping guys were great, and the fitting was really interesting, I'll go into that in detail tomorrow.
Forest of Arden was a nice track, had a good round with MadAdey and NWJocko, think the other lads in front enjoyed it too. The sun even came out.

All in all a quality day, big thanks to GM and Ping for laying on the day.

Cheers,

Stu

What a day that was Stu. Thanks for the great company as we tried to plot our way round the Arden course from the competition tees.

I must say it really was a special day and that putter is not leaving my bag in the near future.

Cheers GM. Yet again you gave some lucky members a day to remember.

Mate, the way you putted with that thing it'll have to be prised from your cold dead hands before you change it. Unbelievable!

nice one chaps. Played the Arden and noticed how far back the champ tee's were.... sod that :p

what did you get Adey?

We did not play the tour tees GIBBO, we played from the whites as that is a nice short course at 6700 yards.

I got the Grayhawk model and it is amazing. Bit unnerving though to get given a nice shiny new putter and then see it put into a vice and bent in different directions by the tour fitters......

yeah I was the same when having my irons bent by TM

gotta love GM for days like these

It is a chance to have something that your mates could never get. Chatting with Paul that fitted me about how is it done at Gainsborough If you went for a putter fitting and he said nothing like this. With the tour truck they will bend it and tweak it to your exact spec and let you try it in between to make sure that it works, this is the sort of thing that is given to a tour pro, not people like us.

Watch my signature, I may move to the dark side with more of my clubs if a Ping fitting can improve my putting as much as it has in one day.

Sounds another great GM day we were treated to a few twitter pics during the day.
Look forward to the reports later.
Adey does this invalid our h/cap challenge now your on the pro ranks....

What a great day that was.
Thanks to GM & Ping they really do know how to spoil us forummers.

I got the Answer 2 as it suited my swing arc @ 34 inches and cringingly bent to the green dot (2* upright).
With a little practice I started to hit some really good lines, I just need to be able to read the speed of greens now and then I'll be dangerous.

Thanks to Rob & Mickie for a super round of golf, you seemed to bring the best out of my driving.;)

Too knackered to put anything on last night!

Was a great day yesterday, the Ping guys were really good, interesting to nosey around the tour truck and listen to the stories etc. Think we should get the club-maker on the forum to shatter some ego's over shafts :)

Putter fitting was really interesting with the iPing app and a ton-load of different putters to try, really very impressed with the TR putters.

I ended up with a crazy looking mallet thing but the results were way better than with anything else and holed some nice putts on the course aswell, probably kept me sane as the rest of my game was honking!!

Keep your eyes out for a video of my holing a putt, I promise it was only the second attempt.... ;)

The round of golf was really enjoyable on a very nice golf course. I had a shocker off the tee and if you're in the wrong place round there it is very difficult to play. Nice to meet the gents off the forum, very good company all the way through the day.

Special thanks to GM, a top day out and experience all told.

Thanks for the update all, sounds like a great day and some nice new toys.

Some pics, Westwood's gold putter was very nice......

Are those grooves? ;)

I promise to write a full report later but even now I am still thinking it was a dream; except my golf, that was a nightmare! Where does a violent hook suddenly come from?

But what an experience, what an eye-opener and what a day.

To both GM & Ping a huge thank you and to Rob & James no less thanks for your patience. Notice I managed a cracking drive off the first and a nice 9 iron into the green, and then the cameraman left us...............

Must be a message there somewhere.

The tour bus was amazing, the stuff they had in there, best toy shop I've ever been in.
Every type of shaft & grip you can imagine in every colour (even a Bubba pink one).
