Ping L8 Stand bag

I have been lucky enough to win a Ping L8 Stand Bag in the Christmas raffle.
Its a great bag and will get plenty of use but !!
Can anyone out there tell me what the Zip pocket going from inside the Clothing pocket
into the club area is for it seems pointless to me

I use to have a Ping series 4 carry bag and this had the same zip. I assumed that it was to get access to the club area, to recover anything that may have been dropped into the bag
