Ping i20 Drivrr

I've never heard anyone say they think they're just average or ok. Folk seem to love or hate this driver. I have the anser and found it more forgiving.

I've been using an i20 for about 6 months. As has been said above it does seem a bit of a marmite club, I think its all in the shaft though, get that right and your on the right track.
Mines a 9.5* with a Project X 5.5 shaft, it launches nice and flat and manages to keep down into the wind.

Alrite folks, been considering getting a ping i20 driver for a while and thought I'd ask if you'd had any experience of them good or bad. Cheers
I own one, but haven't used it for a while. It wasn't as easy as I hoped to hit, and felt a bit heavy and clumsy. My shots tended to go a bit right, which is unusual for me as I normally hit a slight draw. Head tended to sit open on the ground and I had to make a conscious effort to square it up.

As said not the easiest to hit and it does sit slightly open which I do not like nor do I like closed at address either. Had a hit with one before and have to say not my favourite Ping driver. Would not be one that I would go out and buy personally

When I go on holiday to Spain I borrow a Ping i15 which is not bad, but of all the Ping drivers I have tried I would go for a G10. Classic looks and better than the subsequent G drivers in my opinion. Titleist 910 is better still though.

I agree, still the best Driver I have hit. Lovely feel to it and sits perfectly square, not much to fault really

I use a G15 driver and its just the easiest club to hit with I've ever had

Thanks for all the posts. Got rid of my titleist as its always been hit and miss since I bought it 2\3 years ago. The i20 I'm looking at buying has the stiff TFC 707D shaft in it. Won't cost me much more than what I got for the D2.

I had one Chris, and sold it to a mate who loves it. I just didn't like the shape compared to the G10. Too wide for me, prefer a tear drop look.

To be honest Richard I've seen you drive and the real tear drop that followed it :whoo:

Ive never got on with Ping Drivers, but i did try the i20 for a round on my home course as our pro is a Ping dealer.

It had the TFC stiff shafts in it, but felt very whippy and just balloned. Hit it on 3 holes into the wind and 3 down wind and all were shorter than the Mizuno MP 630 fast track i was using at the time.

Try it and see how you get on, you might love it... or hate it;)

I can vouch for the G25 as I've just switched to one, as for the i20 I haven't got a clue but all I will say is I've never seen anyone use one on a course.

When I tried the g25 in reg stock shaft I thought it was whippy but didn't think the stiff was as I wudnt have a fast as. Took your advice an bought one! It should be with me on thursday. A 10.5 stiff with the TFC 707D. I'll soon find out!

Another vote for G25 but you should be able to find the G20 which isn't too dissimilar at a very cheap price. I found the I range of drivers tricky to control but then my driving is hit and miss at best of times
