My Dad has been playing for a few years now having found the time. At the moment his bag is a mixture of my old stuff Mizuno Impact irons , Cleveland hi-bore XLS 5 wood , some ropey putter, and a couple of new hybrids.
I have managed to convince him to try a 3wood, so have sorted him out another Cleveland. I'll clean it up and paint fill it so it looks pucker. However I do now feel I can let go of my Ping I15 irons as I am happy with the I20s I have.
I have offered him them or the option to use them as a trade for something else. Do you think they would present too much of a challenge?
He hits the mizuno impacts well enough but they lack forgiveness and distance ... I thought the I15s may be better or should he go for the g spec?

I played with Ping i15s irons for several years and thought they were just fine. They have some game improvement features, but just have slightly smaller heads than the G series. :)
