Played today with a guy who games these.

Never really considered trying Ping Wedges but he really rated them.

Like the idea of the longer grip and markings as a guide to take distances off.

Anyone else game these ?

Might have to have a try in the new year.

I think Homer might have these in the bag

I do indeed. A tad heavier than I'd have liked but have got use to them and really like them, They look great behind the ball and the longer grips, marked with user guides to grip down, provide a lot of different flight options. I'm currently using the winter to play around with a more conventional pitching method and it's starting to fall in place

Would you say they felt softer than other wedges you've tried ?
He seemed to think they were less harsh than Cleveland and vokeys he'd tried.

Personally not. I switch from the Ping Gorge and although I struggled with distances early on, that I think was more the heavier weight causing an issue. Now I've got use to them I find them great, definitely not soft either with a premium ball or a firmer 2 piece winter ball

Will have to give them a go.

I used them for 3 months or so, the 52 was great, but was around 10 yards shorter than my rtx 2, it played more like a 56 distance wise for me, the 58 was less flexible than I like, although it was good, I prefer the clevelands. The rtx are a great job, better than the rtx 2, and Callaway md3 also, I would personally rate both above the ping. I have used all 3!

I am and it works but oh so many moving parts and I really am trying to keep things simpler and just playing with a "conventional" set up in my practice. Some interesting numbers coming out (on the blog) and need to now record my linear numbers for a true comparison

Yeah, i play these. Really like them. Find them a little more forgiving than 'blade' style wedges. Tbh, they feel like any other wedge too. So dont discount them based on the fact that they are not forged

sorry but I can't take anyone serious that uses the word "game" when referring to using a golf club. any idea how you sound!!

I tried a SW my pro had as a demo when I was looking at new clubs last year.

It was nice to use but just went straight up in the air. A full swing with it went about 85yds and my own went 95.
