Ping G400

i never understand why people comment on what the bottom looks like? surely the only look thats important is the crown at address (unless theres some hideous garish colours)

I've never like ping drivers because they look like bricks on sticks. but being 445cc i might give it a wack!!

Up until I had the SLDR I would of been inclined to agree with you. But once you have smacked a club with sliding weights underneath and spent the next minute or two cleaning every bit of muck, dirt grass etc out from the bottom. Then done it on another 13-14 holes. You get to a stage where the first thing you look at is the bottom.

thats a bit different though Tashy :) and stop hitting the ground with your driver :p

Wish they would bring out another "i" driver.

The i25 was possibly the best driver I have owned. Felt superb and was capable of some humongous drives.

Super forgiving too.

These recent "g" clubs just look far to technical for my eyes. The noise some of them make Is terrible too.
No doubting they still perform though.

Like the look of them, just hope they have finally found a way to make a decent feeling driver as I have not liked one since the g10 even though they all perform great.

I went from a G30 to a 917. Then back again from a 917 to a G30, I will agree the Ping feels dead feel when you initially swap. The more you play and hit it though, you quickly tune into the Lack of feedback.
I'm a huge ping driver fan, just nothing on the market that feels any thing as forgiving.
G400 is on my radar for sure, shall be heading for a fitting.

They struggled to go Pro's to play "i" series socialist stuck the "G" series in their bags. Was also a fan of the i25 however the G30 is a great bat, will take somethig seriously good to move it out of the bag.
