Hi all,

ive posted on here a few times about how I'm buying some new game improvement irons in the coming month or two. I've went to AG and they had a set of g20s pre owned that I tried and loved them. Been researching and seen they've effectively been 'replaced' by the g25s in previous years. On golf bidder they're roughly the same price

whats the thoughts? I'm not sure what would be better to go for. And any recommendations of a good place to but relatively old clubs?

they are both good clubs and closely priced as ping and titlest tend to hold their value better than most manufacturers. the g series iron is a fantastic game improvement iron and you cant go too wrong there.

i have always found golf pros a good source for used irons and i will almost guarantee he teaches someone or has recently fitted someone that has played out of their current irons and want rid.

Currently own the G25s and won't change them, have them all the way to SW. Before the G25s I had G20s and they were solid too. A little chunkier than G25s but performance very similar.

Thanks guys, how much would you think I'd realistically spend on the g20s? Reg shaft and the smallest set I'd take is 5-PW but ideally maybe a 4-SW

looking on golf bidder and its around 320ish, for a 7/10 'good' condition which seems very expensive. eBay is 299 most of the time which is also pretty pricey, was hoping for something in the 200-250 mark - is this not going to happen?

Stick to your budget pal, you know what you're prepared to pay so keep patient and searching ebay.

Back to the clubs, sure they are both good, but personally I preferred the aesthetic of the g25, slimmer and slightly more duller/matte finish as I recall which I really liked.

I paid £240 for a set of G25 4-PW about 9 months ago in Nevada bobs second hand. I would say they would be about the same price now. You should be able to find a set around £250. Check the second hand parts of AG etc and keep your eyes open on gumtree and ebay
