I picked up a used PING G10 9' reg

what a beauty.....

hitting more Fairways and going the same distance as my X2Hot

smaller shaft by about 1 inch

is this just the club for me?

with this clubs older technology am i missing out on what the newer clubs have to offer?

or is it the smaller shaft that is helping me out?

Almost certainly the shorter shaft is helping. It may also be better suited to your game.

Either way, just accept it!

Enjoy it whilst it works, the G10 was a good driver back in the day

The G10 is an excellent club and one that still performs well when compared to the latest Ping offerings. The fact that Westwood still returns to his supports this.

I popped into one of the local places on the way back from the post office. They had a brand new looking Ping G5 in the bargain bin £25, was very tempted, but I'm in the process of getting rid of stuff at the moment:(

I use a R7 TP 3 wood and it's the best club in my bag, nothing wrong with using an older model so long as it works!

I love the bargain bin. I have a TM hybrid, Nike hybrid and TM driver in my bag from the bin, none cost more than £30. It is where I head to first off whenever I walk into that shop. Great fun seeing what gem you can unearth.

I still use the G5 and hit it fairly straight.
Nothing wrong with the G10 either

First decent driver i bought back in 2006 when i started Bob. Could not control it at the time though, swapped it for a TMr7.

Nothing wrong with old equipment. One of the guys i play with has an old Cobra driver, he's had for almost 10 years. He went to the fitting place at St Andrews to look at drivesr, None performed anywhere as good as his own driver with just a Green NV65 stiff shaft.

The fitter told him to keep that one.

I got rid of my G10 for a Titliest and have regretted it ever since.

Im on the lookout for a 12* version.
