Ping Crossover

I saw it in the flesh yesterday when I stuck my head in the Pro shop, as Rick Shiels said in his Youtube when doing his review, he didn't know what it was or where it was aimed at, a replacement for a hybrid, is it a driving iron, a long iron or....

Anyone got any views - good or bad on the club? Might try one this weekend.

The Ping today was very complimentary of them

Think they a bit like the MPH clubs Mizuno make and the UDI or new TMB ?

First time on the course with mine today and it's great.

I have never got on with hybrids but when the Ping fitter was at the club the other day I went and tried this club and couldn't find a way to hit a bad shot. Twice today I had long approaches to the green, uphill and into wind and this thing cut through it like a hot knife in butter, I have dropped my 4i for the Crossover 4 but it might be too big for that and mess up the top of my bag, another outing tomorrow and I'll get some more feedback from it, but my initial reactions are, it's great and has earned a place in my bag

Look the business and I would def consider if getting into the game now.

Sadly I have clubs and no money.

Pros keep pushing me to better player clubs when I ask them but I would prefer GI stuff.

Another awful feeling ping club

Tried it along with the Titliest TMB and my own MPH - TMB was outstanding , miles better than both , the Ping was awful , felt awful ,looks ugly at address

Why is it when you try a new club/s they all go great guns and then when you buy them and put them in the bag they revert to the crap you had before

I've hit a few too many poor shots with it now, which I know is down to me not the club, but when I go to our practice area I sting the damn thing brilliantly but out on the course I find myself shying away from it now and forcing a lower club, which we all know doesn't work, it might find itself in the forsale section soon :(

I have one of these, a 3 with tour shaft. It is a great club, superb off the tee now that the rough is up.

Like the old summer 4 iron that runs for 40 yards.

On an inland links, proper links or any course that dries up and runs these clubs are perfect right? As are most driving irons, they come into their own when the course runs and runs.

Had a bash with the 4 crossover today. Decent wee club. Was hitting some a fair distance downwind down the range. For some reason I could only fade this thing. Couldn't draw it for toffee.

The offset is ugly. The rest of the club looks grand. Noise is a little off putting too.

Overall not a bad wee club.

I bought one from AG - hated it and returned it on their 30 day money back guarantee, used the cash to buy a TM M1 hybrid - now that is a club!

I had the opposite hit a low hook all the time.
offset to much for me.

Bought one when they first came out, never got on with it. I found it to be heavy and difficult to get any feedback on shots. I never knew where it was going to end up. Sold it on very quickly, happy to lose £20 on it. Bought a shiny new 3 iron instead which I love!
Personally, I would not recommend but if it works for you, give it a go.

I ain't buying one. Just fancied a crack with one. I thought the offset was going to make me hook even more. Off the turf I simply could not hit a decent draw. Strange.

Was hoping to hit any driving iron but this was all they had in the shop. want a driving iron for links courses.

I've got one as I have never got on with hybrids when I'm playing well (lol) it goes for ever with a low draw flight, more about covering yards for me that being able to hit targets, although this is my winter lesson objective that starts in a couple of weeks.
