Christ that thing is so bloody annoying. You need to tell Ping that they don't need these kind of intrusive ads to hook people, it's a bigger turn off than turn on. That thing flopping down every moment is bordering on harassment.:angry:

Yep it's a necessity I'm guessing to allow us a subscription free forum - something needs to pay for the hosting

I think Ping need to take a long, hard look at this. I am a Ping fan (and user), but I'm going off them rapidly - solely because I don't like anyone ramming their wares down my throat.

Maybe only me, but it auto opens on EVERY page I open, and even after I close it the Community, Forum Actions and Quick Links menu's all sit behind it so you can't choose anything other than the top item.

Adblocker doesn't appear to work on 'private' pages, which I need to use because I'm at work.

There was a Stewart Push trolley one recently that was advertising the S1.
I looked it up because I was looking for a trolley and ended up buying one.
A great bit of kit,not once did I feel harassed.
What the advert did do though was make me look at the product,surely that's what
advertising is all about.
I don't think the Ping one is harassing as it drops down more of an irritant when it
does it hundreds of times.
