I have just joined a new club with a lot of blind holes and very tight fairways, I was thinking of taking pictures looking back to the tee from the ideal landing area? Is this allowed?

Quite often when you walk from the tee to the fairway it suddenly opens up, but from the tee looks so tight, so to help visualise the tee shot do you think seeing a different view whilst on the tee may help?

Most of the St Andrews Trust links courses strokesavers include photographs of the holes, so shouldn't be a problem.

To be honest once you're familiar with the course you'll know the lines off the tees and the distances to hit.

Half a dozen rounds and you'll know what to hit and where you are going, so I wouldnt bother.

Its gonna take you a week or 2 to get to know the course, so dont get too wound up about scoring for a while, and just enjoy settling in.
