I know Homer. You are right. But this is a bit more than honesty.A politician making stupid comments and interfering in a subject he has no idea about. Whatever next. An honest MP?
And the Ukraine is in no way is part of Europe.Or NATO, which means nothing really.
And the Ukraine is in no way is part of Europe.Or NATO, which means nothing really.
to dismiss the Ukraine as not being part of Europe is to overlook both its history and location.
Putin may be a tyrant and the human rights travesties throughout the region well known and unacceptable but at this time of negotiating a human right truce to help the most in need to escape the atrocities is crass and ill timed at best
I may have completely missed your meaning in the post, but I don't believe there is ever a time when such a truce is not a good thing!
Are you suggesting that the perpetrators could escape justice?
Okay..So why doesn't Putin and the seperatists agree with you?Ukraine is part of Europe
He is very wrong with what he said.He isn't far wrong in what he said though
Timing is more the issue

NATO may be debatable but to dismiss the Ukraine as not being part of Europe is to overlook both its history and location.
Ukraine is part of Europe
I thought that. Then I thought it must be me!
Okay..So why doesn't Putin and the seperatists agree with you?
Thankyou. To simply claim it as part of Europe is ridiculous imo. I think it's significantly more Russian oriented than European, both in history and location. It's East of Poland, Hungary and Slovakia and nearly 20% of the population are Russian speakers for example!
But since 1991, there's been a gradual move towards Europe politically, with consequent, and understandable imo, anxiety by Putin.
He is very wrong with what he said.
I'm not sure - haven't had chance to ask them
You hate being wrong or corrected don't you?..Looking at a map,or wikipedia does not cut it.I'm not sure - haven't had chance to ask them
Doesn't really matter what they say - Ukraine is part of the continent of Europe just as Russia is
