PGA Tour hole-in-one videos - worth a look

Now why does nothing like that ever happen to me...

Jezz, the problem is your playing partners are not putting their shots in a position to make the most of the 20 foot backspin you put on the ball. Either that or you have the honour too often..... ;)

Two points in response to that - it's pretty rare anyone in the GM office hits a par-3 green so there are rarely any balls available for a fortuitous Rick O'Shea... and if there were they'd need to be short of the pin so my power-releasing top-spinners could bounce once, land the right side of them and get a helpful knock-on!

This is the Rule you're after here Viscount

17-4. Ball Resting Against Flagstick
When a player’s ball rests against the flagstick in the hole and the ball is not holed, the player or another person authorised by him may move or remove the flagstick, and if the ball falls into the hole, the player is deemed to have holed out with his last stroke; otherwise, the ball, if moved, must be placed on the lip of the hole, without penalty.

Great...

If I land the ball past the flag, let it come back, ricochet of another ball then dive down the hole, do I get a red BMW Z4?

I hope so, I'll look forward to that then.....

I can barely find the greens, let alone the holes!! :)

I'm another who is thankful just to find the green on most par 3's these days. They seem a real nemesis. I'm not sure of the odds on a conventional hole in one but the chances of getting one in off the cushion so to speak must be immense
