Why on earth do people let cats walk across kitchens (or anywhere else for that matter) and dog sit/lie on beds /furniture.

Animals should stay on the floor - you wouldn't let your kids or other humans sit on your furniture naked or walk on you kitchen work-surface or defecate in a tray in the corner of the kitchen!

It seems that anything goes for our dear little or large pampered pets.

When I visit I don't want to sit where the bare, feces covered backside of you pet has been or eat food prepared where your cat has wandered or by hands that last fondly it.

There seems to be a spate of celebrities parading their uncontrolled pets and adverts happily depict pets in beds and on sofas.

Its filthy, your pet will not 'think' anything less of you, it is not human!

I think I'd be more reluctant to eat something you'd prepared than someone with a pet as you don't seem to understand the idea of using Flash spray on the worktops before preparing food, regardless of whether a pet might have walked across it or not, or washing hands after stroking a pet.

Mine is allowed on the couch

Not anywhere near the bed though.

My sleep chariot is sacred. Don’t enemies let my kids in if I can help it.

Feet like blocks of ice and jammy bread crumbs

Yuk

May I suggest that if you are invited into someone’s house you respect their wishes and how they want their house and pets treated - if you are not comfortable with that then don’t accept any invites but I wouldn’t worry I expect they would dry up quickly anyway

I use chopping boards, and place mats. You come to my house, you know i have cats. Its no surprise. Yep, they get into / onto everything, but thats the way it is. Dettol is on permanent back order.

Oh, and yes, they sleep on the bed. Preferably not on the pillow, but god knows what they get up to when i am not there.

I am still alive.

Its people like you that boil my piss. What gives you the right to tell people how to treat their pets. If you dont like it, stay at home.

My poppy goes where she wants and sleeps on the bed with us, she is a member of our family.
