Hi,

I was lucky enough to play with Crow, aka Nick in his invitation day yesterday at Ullesthorpe.
We had a great day, and in order to thank Nick I invited him over to my club for a game. We have come up with Sat Aug 31 at 10:00.

So we are looking for two other forummers who might like to join us and make up a four. I am able to sign in three people at a time, so all will get the reduced green fee.

Here is a link to my club

Hi Ian

Would quite like to join you, however, there is a small caveat of being fit to play. Im currently injured, albeit should be fine by then. Happy if you get a couple of others that can definitely commit for you to go that route, if not and I am fit then id love to play

He's not a regular poster but having had the pleasure of playing with Ian I can safely say that he's a good playing partner and a decent player to boot.

Peterborough Milton looks like a fine course and I'm sure will be an excellent challenge. Ian says that a good short game helps and having witnessed his chipping prowess I can believe this!

Crow,

You are too kind. I am sure that we we next play, and I miss the green (probably on the first) I will be very nervous trying to live up to your expectations.

The truth is, that I had a good chipping day at Ullesthorpe, that is definitely not always the case.

I have been sitting on the side for a while, and done a lot of reading on the forum, without much, if any, posting. I'm hoping that this will get me more involved in the forum. To that end I have also paid my deposit for the Woodhall Spa weekend.

Fundy,
Would be great if you could join us. You are currently top of the reserve list, in fact you are top of the list !!

Cheers

Ian

Was trying to find this thread earlier.

I also really enjoyed the course and the company, if not the result so much. Couldn't hit a green with an iron all day.

Thanks for your hospitality Ian, great golf club.

Second everything Nick has said, cracking course, many thanks for your hospitality Ian :)

Nick, Robert, Steve,

I too throroughly enjoyed the day, I think my best "shot" was getting my ball next to Roberts when I threw up the balls to decide partners :-)

If you would like to come over again, just let me know :-)

Cheers
