Well you'd kind of hope the direction and culture of an organization is taken from the person at the top as that person is supposed to be in control. But then again I suppose that depends who the organization is run.

Easy there Emmeline Pankhurst, no one came here for a lecture on the suffragettes. I don't think you get a vote yet due to the lack of a winkle, but the times they are a changing and I think any time soon boys without a winkle will be treated the same as boys with a winkle.

i like the image golf has what's wrong with it,its because we have a set of rules on play and etiquette that we don't get the yobish element marauding round courses,the game is built on tradition and that's the way it should be kept.

Not much will change, which may or may not be a good thing. Largely too many committees, meeting too often so they have to find stuff to do to prove their existence - like messing about changing rules that hardly casual golfer is interested in.

Inclined to agree. But there are some snobby twits 'marauding' around courses as well. Pretty much a reflection of real life really!

My first thought was about the Vote re Women in September. Coincidence? 'Over my dead body'? Or 'My job is done getting that on the agenda!'?

I hope the new guy doesn't also take over his 'same every time' Open Presentation Speech!
