Personal health budget

Caught the back end of this on Breakfast this morning and heard a figure of 236,000 spent on 5 people.

Ive never heard of this before but it sounds like another NHS money wasting scheme.

I can understand people needing help but it seems this is not regulated properly and millions of pounds are wasted.

Any one heard of this and any thoughts.

All these cuts going on and as a country we are throwing money around like confetti still.

This is another of those health initiatives which sounds like it offers plenty of money and choice to people. In reality it is an experiment in capping total costs, just as a health insurer would, which is exactly the direction we are going.

Nasty, bad idea which should be avoided.
