Hi all

A few weeks ago I shot my personal best of ANYWHERE Ive played at my own course of 93.

Yesterday I shot 91 (including a horrendous 10 at 1 hole ) at another course. This course is around 1400 yards shorter than mine but still tricky to play and the conditions were heavy wet grass with lots of drizzle/showery.

The thing is I dont no what to accept in my mind is my personal best score now as I shot lower on a much shorter course away from my own course.
Technically the 91 is my best.....but?...but?

Cheers

Kev

18 holes is 18 holes... A par 69 can be harder than a par 73 and you waste most shots around the green I say a best is a best.

I still count my best of 81 at East Brighton as my best 18 ever and my back 9 there of +1 gross my best also.

I guess its a personal thing, you set your own targets and records and no one can take a good score away from you where ever you do it!

I'd look at it in relation to par or SSS.
Shooting 90 on a par/SSS 72 is better than shooting 89 on a par/SSS 65.
Having said that there's always the feat of "breaking 90 or 80 or 70" so it's a tricky one.
Mine's a 69 on a par 71 SSS 69.
Better than the 68 on a par 68 SSS 65.

Hold on one cotton-pickin' minute.

Forget length and all that Jazz. Par is where it's at.

How many over par is the question.

In the event of a tie, go with the SSS.

:)

Dont agree....I know some courses have par 5s that are shorter than the par 4s at my course. Besides that, a 460 yard par 4 or a 360 yard par 4, you work it out.
