Hi all!
I'm new to golf and to the forum so I apologise if this has been asked and answered before but I'm looking at getting a pencil stand bag. I'm just after something I can chuck in the back of the car when we go on holiday (that won't take up too much space) so I can play a bit of golf when away, and also something I can keep in the boot incase I fancy a quick 9 holes or a visit to the driving range when out and about locally.
But I also want something that is going to last rather than fall apart within a month or two.

Thanks in advance,
Sam

I don't believe there are any that will fall apart in a month or 2!

My Mizzie Scratch-Sac seemed flimsy, but is only now (after 6 years or quite a lot of use) starting to look worn out!

However, I'd suggest you look for one that has a small stand and a (plastic) mechanism to keep the base off the ground. Worth paying a little more to keep it off damp/wet ground and provide something like the service/convenience of a normal stand bag. Wilson made one a while ago and a couple of other brands have done them too.

Welcome aboard btw!

Thanks for your advice guys. Will pop out over the next week or so and see what I can find. The advice about the stand and plastic mechanism makes sense. Thanks again!
