Played an open yesterday where the weather deteireated through the day and field in the afternoon played in much tougher conditions, close to 35mph winds.
On the SG app this morning this comp was
0/0 /3 the 3 being pcc.
After 30 qual comps this year all with no adjustments.

What does the 3 actually relate to and how did it effect the score?

It is effectively like increasing the course rating by 3. So, if you shot an adjusted gross score of 90, and the Course Rating was 70, your usual gross differential would be 20, and if the slop was 130, then your Score Differential would be 17.4. With a PCC of 3, shooting a 90 would give you an effective "gross differential" of 17 rather than 20 and a score differential of 14.8. The 14.8 showing your 90 was a better score in the tough conditions than the 17.4 score diff when you shot 90 in average conditions. The full Score Diff equation is:

Score Diff = (113 / Slope) x (Adjusted Gross Score - Course Rating - PCC)

I've looked at the scores, my diff was 5.1 and would have still been the same with no pcc.

Is it supposed that 3 shots or 0.3?

One the ways to see the effect is to remember to look at your score for the day on EG before midnight and look again the following morning.

It is shots . We had a PCC of 2 last week and you see the difference in the score difference between the two times.

PCC is a 'sort of' replacement for the old CSS..

However WHS makes provision for the PCC to be changed for parts of the day when conditions were significantly different.

5.6/2 – Circumstances That May Warrant More Than One Playing Conditions Calculation on a Single Day
Rule 5.6 recommends that only one playing conditions calculation (PCC) is performed for the day. However, there may be circumstances that warrant a separate PCC to be performed for part of the day or for a certain competition. For example, when:
* There is extreme variation in weather on the day.
* The make-up of the field in a competition being played on the day is significantly different from the make-up of the players participating in general play rounds on the same day.
