Paulina Gretzky Front Cover

Phelps was a serial champion sportsman in his own right. He was also the subject of a TV experiment with Hank Haney, if I remember rightly, trying to turn him into a proper golfer.

Rice was formerly a senior member of the US administration, which makes her a public figure in her own right. She was also the first or second female member of Augusta and plays the game herself.

Paulina Gretzky is famous for being The Great One's daughter and going out with DJ. Even if she's famous for something else that I'm not aware of, I'd argue that she's not in the same stratosphere as Phelps or Rice. Also, and more importantly, she doesn't play golf.

They're not comparable.

Gretzky plays golf just not a professional - same as Phelps and same as Rice

In this issue which I understand is a "fitness issue" she" demonstrates six golf-improvement exercises for the issue and talks about her connections in the sports world. "

Let's face it, it's all about sales... It's well known that what's on the front of a mag can significantly impacts sales figures. That the long and the short of the reason for it... She's loosely linked to golf so it kind of fits.

Whether that's the right thing to do in terms of golf or society as a whole is a different matter... My opinion is for society it's not great and I can appreciate what Stacey Lewis is saying. The point is that sex sells and most of the time you see a female golfer in a golf magazine it's not necessarily the most talented but the best looking... Are golf digest above that, seemingly not.

No, A nice morning. Very productive.

I just have a slight issue with silicone enhanced naughty pillows. I have never seen a good pair (despite significant experience in this area) and question the motivation of any woman that has this done for reasons other than a post mastectomy or child rearing return to normal conditions.

For me, natural bee stings beat colossal, plastic chapel hat pegs every time.

Awesome post!

To be honest, if I was after masturbation fodder I doubt I would give a golf mag a second glance :)

remember the Jan Stevenson pics in GM a few centuries ago?.........I do:o it had a long lasting effect on a young schoolboy who's hormones were 'bursting'
