I'm sick to death of creating passwords for sites then being unable to remember them to be able to access them. Then my e-mail link on my phone has stopped working and after checking, my e mails at home have stopped. I've now changed the password, but forgot to do it on my phone, now I've forgotten what it was.:angry::angry::angry: There must be an easier way. Surely someone must be working on this.

By the easier way do you mean like biometrics etc.?

In the meantime, a password manager like LastPass is useful for generating secure passwords and managing them for you, you just have to set up and remember a strong master password, and I would recommend using it with two-factor authentication.

Do not EVER lose or falsely enter your NS&I password.

Took me three separate attempts and 18 'working' days to get a new one.
The call centre people in Blackpool that they use are totally clueless, and the NS&I system is horrendous.

On the bright side I did get a £60 'goodwill' gift from them.

My Mrs has a great password, instantly remembered but pretty impossible to break.

I had this very thing this morning....got an email from the lottery to say I'd won something and sure enough I had to change my password again.

The issue now more than every is the use of upper and lower case, numbers and special characters.....then some sites wont let you set the password to something similar with a number different for example, so you need to come up with another completely original idea.

So frustrating.

One one device, but suppose you wish to access a site from a different device?

It's an app I keep on my phone, I access it via fingerprint. It has a list of my passwords to various sites, games, forums, emails etc. If I'm on my Pc and can't remember the password for something I just get my phone out and open the app. You can open the site from within the app, but I never use that myself.
It's not always convenient, but it is far better than writing it all down on a piece of paper.

Oh, you can log onto it via PC as well using a master password, just in case your phone isn't around.

I have all my passwords written in a notebook that's kept in a secret safe place, sometimes I can't remember where it is :o

This this and flippin this, booked an overnight stay today for me, Missis T and ma and pa. On a site ave never used before. Or so I thought, enter your password, Eh. Ten minutes later am still faffing about.

Easy:

Step 1. Write down you user accounts and passwords on post it notes

Step 2. Stick said notes on your monitor / screen

Step 3. Profit

Hope that helps :)

Just do what I do and use "Incorrect" as your password, then when I forget what it was I just type anything, then the computer will reminds me on screen that my password is "Incorrect".

I have a very simple system for passwords (I am not telling you) what I hate is when some sites do not allow me to use the system eg same numbers consecutively no symbol in the password etc . What I also hate is when I forget the password and sites that require the password to be reset and do not let you use one that you have used previously.
