Pars per round

So there was a small comment in the 14 handicap Vs Tiger woods thread that got me thinking..

Someone mentioned a 14 handicapper getting 6 pars per round, others questioned this etc etc..

So what is your expectation on scoring?

I'm 15 handicap, and i actually do expect at least 6 pars per round, throw in a birdie too, my handicap is at 15 as i have a great ability to chuck in the odd double and treble!

So come on then, list your handicap and the amount of pars you expect.

I'm pretty similar, play to 16 and happy with 5 or more pars, but have the ability or lack of to let other holes destroy me.

would be worth setting up another one asking how many birdies you expect (not net birdies btw)

Sadly my handicap is an astronomical 19 at the moment, but in my last 5 rounds I have had the following Par or better scores:

- 5
- 6
- 5
- 8
- 7

That's an average of just over 6.

Handicap is 5 and I normally expect around 10-12 pars

Hcp 6. Expect to par 10-12 holes on average. On a good day will turn a couple into birdies and have no worse than a bogey on the others.

I'm off 6 and would expect between 8 and 10 pars and at least a couple of birdies, that not against par but CSS or buffer.

I'm a bit unexciting at times, not just in Golf, and went 3 consecutive rounds without a blob twice last year! Had 18 2-pointers a couple of times too!

8-10 Pars, maybe a Birdie or 2 (rare). Unfortunately, recent rounds haven't been quite so good on holes 10-18 - even when played as the front 9!

In winter, long as I shoot my handicap I'm not too fussed how I get there.
In summer I would expect at least 10 pars, there are 2 holes on the course that I can honestly say I'd struggle to par every round. I also expect at least 2 birdies and be happy with 3.

16.8 and I'd expect 5 per round with a birdie thrown in every 3-4 rounds.

I'm not generally a birdie machine and unless I'm having a shocker 10-12 pars is not unusual.
Had 16 in a +4 round a few years back - 2 x doubles screwed the card!
Possibly only 1 maybe 2 birdies and the rest boogers and doubles...

Never think about it much but looking at scores over the past few years i average 11. Best is 17 and one day i'd love to do the 'Muirfield 87'.

Handicap 8, I expect somewhere between 7 and 12 holes to be par or better but since I don't make a whole load of birdies I would expect most of those to be pars.

Two of a kind mate. I am exactly the same. When I drive the ball well I shoot very low scores, have gone round in under par on various occasions. However if my driving is off with the usual blocks off to the Right then as you say very erratic with 3 of the tee scenarios being fairly regular
