I play at a parkland course. But i love a links course. Its just a different type of game and is really fun to play. I try to get a game on a links every couple months, always look forward to it.

No contest for me... Links all the way.. I'd love to play a links course regularly and a parkland occasionally, but Its the other way round at the moment..... Reminds me of my perfect day, Saunton West in the morning, then the rest of the day on Saunton beach surfing and BBQ'ing.... Nothing better...

Parkland for me. I love the history, tradition and challenge of a Links course but week in week out would find it too bleak and austere. I like trees and prettyness and squirrels and suchlike!

I'm a member of a parkland course but play links a few times a year (Royal Porthcawl).

I don't dislike Links courses but tobe honest find them far too hard. You find yourself hitting a good drive only to get a horrible bounce and end up in the rough.

The rough itself is another killer. The stuff at Porthcawl is deep and even the semi rough is penal. Hit your drive off line on my home course and you can at least find your ball and play a shot.

A few times a year is enough for me.

Links for me all day long. Sure it's sometimes a bit breezy, but that's part of the puzzle nature is setting you. No two days are the same. Love it.

Parkland golf is boring and monotonous, better off digging up all the courses to build houses for the illegal immigrants.

Links then heathland all the way

I agree, have loved my games on links but there is a time and a place for them I think.

I like trees and prettyness and squirrels and suchlike!

Formby had all that as a links course, its pretty unique IMO.

I'd put Heathland in front of parkland though as they tend to have consistently better greens, in my experience of playing them lately.
