I'm going to the Sunderland v Everton match on Monday, not been to the Stadium of Light before. Where is the best place to park? Any tips? I'll be coming from the north, through the tunnel.

A courier who goes to the match has suggested Crozier St, around 1/2 mile from the ground. Apparently that will leave me at the right end for leaving as well. Does that make sense?
A fair shout on the metro but I will still need to drive to one first of all as I don't live anywhere near one. Going car - metro will add quite a bit on the journey but then again if I get stuck in traffic in Sunderland then I am no better off. Hopefully Everton will go 4-0 up and the Sunderland fans will all clear off nice and early![]()
Crozier Street is well and truly in the matchday residents only zone. Its all the way up to the hospital on that side of the road and bordered on the other side by Thompson Road.
Would just park at St Marys and have a pint/pie in town after the match to be honest
Mate, Drive to East Boldon Metro Station, loads of parking then get the metro to Stadium of Light Station, 2 stops down, dead easy and you get a head start when leaving. (or Fellgate or Heworth, Metro is spot on) easier for me from Seaham, parking in town and walking over bridge
If you decide on East Boldon Metro Station, get there early, I'll pick you up, take you to American Golf for a basket of balls & drop you off at the ground. How's that for an offer?Probs best parking near the American golf and hit some balls before had on the range and walk down from there. Don't park near stadium it's a nightmare and also some streets are permit only so watch out
That sounds like a very kind offer. I'm not sure the Sunderland stewards will let me in with my clubs though .
You don't want to get to the ground too early, you might get a game for SLand😃If it's all quite close together and you don't mind then that would be great. I am going with my son, he has gone golf mad, so it would be a really good start to the evening. Incidentally I don't need dropping off at the stadium, just a decent distance away so we can walk there and you don't get stuck in traffic.
Would about 6 be okay or do I need to get there earlier?
