Anyone watch the FIFA corruption documentary last night??

No surprises in it regarding the crooks involved within FIFA. How the hell can Blatter publically defend people like Jack Warner??
I can guess the answer, because he is nuts deep in the back handers as well as the rest of them. Close ranks and protect each other.

And what about the taxless haven they demanded for themselves if we get the gig!!??

What did surprise me was the wildly different projections by the English and Dutch bid teams. England are projecting £3bn injection of money whilst the Dutch thought it would lose them a couple hundred million.

I watched Panorama last night and I can't see how it can be ignored by FIFA - but it will be. The IOC have said they are going to investigate anyway.

I do think that it is bound to stop our bid for the World Cup. There is no way we will get the nod now.
This makes sure that four will be against us and there are not mant to vote anyway.

how long are we prepared to host these games such as WC and olympics, money pits the lot of them. Let the other countries waste money they don't have we have tv's lets save a fortune and watch others go bankrupt.

I no longer watch Panorama. It has become a very biased programme in my opinion. As for last night's episode I have no interest in football, particularly English football, so why it was shown UK wide is puzzling.

Because it was about the fact that the administrators of the international game are "allegedly" corrupt.

Read Andrew Jennings' book Foul the stories about Mr Jack Warner (and others) level of corruption and arrogance. (including nearly causing a huge disaster at a stadium by overselling tickets)

There's a large part of me that wishes we didn't have to court such individuals for a "prize".

well you;ll get your wish, there will be no point in our bidding for anything for a long, long time - and we may as well pull out of the Eurovision now.

I blame Panorama and ultimately the BBC for flushing a load of cash down the crapper. We have/had the best World Cup bid and I'd love to have gone to watch the best players of the day if I could. However I think there is a definite political undercurrent to why the BBC had to show it last night in the week of the bid.

Panorama use to be THE programme of its kind and it had sway. Now it has been dissolved and is a weak programme looking to score cheap points for the corporation and has lost a lot of its integrity and journalistic sway

Panorama seems to have had its own agenda for a while, Bash British.
There usually is a story there - but very often it's old and regurgitated at the worst possible moment. The justification that it's in the public interest gets a little weak when you count up lost contracts, lost jobs and other lost opportunities - and we're paying them!

Personally I don't care who wins the bid as some hosts have shown a nett loss after hosting it. I also don't care about the politics of TV productions, what I do care about is corruption. The trouble is that these buggers are so established and hold so much power and influence that they will brush all of the allegations off until a policeman comes to their doors with handcuffs. This is not likely to happen as not enough people are demanding something be done, not enough evidence is available to risk very expensive court battles and these people have more than enough money for their weekly shop to take out law suits. So I think it will end with Blatters bum boys spiting those they feel have upset them and nothing will come of the allegations and evidence.

Well, if Panorama hadn't already lost us the bid, the Birmingham City fans did a marvellous job of nailing the coffin shut with the post-game rioting last night.

Absolutely disgusted.
