For my 6 year old's homework this week we have got to make and eat different types of pancakes - sweet and savoury. I've always gone with lemon and sugar topping so what else should I be trying?

I love the traditional lemon & sugar but I do like those stores that do the red currant ice cream on them, yummy.

Lemon and suger for me,also banana and golden syrup.

Years ago I let my daughter (she was around 9/10 at the time) help with the pancakes, I let her toss them, the first one she dropped on the flour and she said " that's ok mum can have that one"

Fast forward a few years and I have a lovely photo of my granddaughter looking very proud with a pancake in the pan.

Nutella is ace on pancakes. Also, Strawberry's with cracked black pepper (it works, trust me!)

Never really done anything savoury with them other than Chicken and Mushroom.

Has to be sugar and lemon juice but only if it's from the plastic jif squeezy lemon!

Never had a savoury one before but I'd go for gravy if I had to

Nutella and whipped cream.

for savory, i like a seafood pancake! Think fish pie with the pancake instead of mash...

Lemon and sugar all day long. The boy likes Nutella or chocolate sauce, and golden syrup is quite nice. For savoury, try adding leftover spaggybol or mince with fajita mix in it, add to the batter in the pan before it makes a sealed base.
