Today I was very fortunate to get invited to play in the "Pro"-Am associated with this event. Fantastic! The course was in top condition with greens running close to 12 and very firm. The fairways were closely cut and running hard.

The "Pro" we had with our group was James Ross who played some very good golf. Having seen a lot of European Tour players close up, this lad was easily equal to most of them. If you can spare the time to go watch the matches, you will not be disappointed, these guys are good, James shot 4 under par.

I think I may just have to take the dog for a walk tomorrow :) (hope he does not decide to chase the balls!)

And for an added bonus, you may even get to see Ross (Foxholer) doing some "work" as a caddy :)

It's not really 'work' watching some of the shots these guys play - nor the swing of a 3 times Curtis Cup winning player!

These guys really are the future! 340yd Drives; 250 yd 2-irons; 300yd 3-Woods. And the towering 3-iron Erik hit for his 2nd shot of the day - from 220 over mature pines 60 yds away! - just made me laugh! Oh and short games to die for!

It'll all get a lot more serious tomorrow when the real matches start - Foursomes in the morning and Fourballs in the afternoon.
