Over 35? Want to play qualifiers at good courses with no bandits?

Tempted by the Sheringham one so will have a think

Is that course worth the day off Gaz?

The deal is worth the day off. £38 for 2 rounds with soup and sarnies in-between.

I've only played there twice, but it hasn't wow-ed me so far. It's very well presented, has interesting (if unspectacular) holes, but I've not walked off there thinking I can't wait to go back. I don't know why that is, just can't put my finger on it.
It's tough as well. A few long par 4's and no par 5's to get any easy shots back.

Having said all that, I'm going to play in it so I can't think it's too bad. :)

Only one in Scotland and its at the Dukes at St Andrews which is a slog unless you have a buggy.Pity as I'm sure it was at Turnberry recently

I've just entered

I looked at this tour, good events and good courses with good prize funds.

It's really well run Martin...good bunch of guys who love their golf.

I've entered a few now but actually signed up to the Tour for the first time this year and it's made a refreshing change from all the national run comps that I used to enter that were just full of handicap protectors.
I'm going to try and play in as many as I can this year. Top 32 gross and nett OOM leaders play in an end of season grand final.

As they're all qualifying rounds, (where the CSS usually goes up) it's a great opportunity to get the handicap down.

Dundonald 2 years ago- seems to be less interest in Scotland. Maybe as there are many many comps elsewhere

I played ganton last year joined up the tour on a post ryder cup offer booked in for pleasington and Woodhall. Can echo well run and good bunch of guys sentiments.

Never enterered any of the mid am stuff but agree its a great set up, just the dates don't work for me on most events, great idea though and some cracking golfers in as well.

Going to play the midland golf union one at The Leicestershire and maybe a couple of others, I have booked the day off to play in the one at our place but not entered yet.

Anyone on here entering the Logan trophy at The Northumberland?

I'll see you at the Leicestershire then Glynn. I'm also looking at entering the Woodhall Spa event. Maybe catch up the day before for a practice round?
