Out with my new wedge tonight.

I've got the CG12 52 degree and I love it. Great from 70 yards out and for pitch and runs which bounce once and then stop. I know what you mean about accuracy but a general rule I use is that I never hit any wedge (PW, SW, 52 or 60) at more than a 3/4 swing as they are not designed for full swings. Experiment with a shorter swing and you should become more accurate

Now scared to try to hit any kind of wedge as have came down with severe dose of the..J Arthurs!!!!Now trying to hit bump & runs with every other club in the bag!!!!!!!Some advice appreciated(pro has me standing further away from the ball on all my clubs which has helped...but just not the wedges).Hell I even hit 1 out of a bunker on sunday!!!! Think I,ll take up cricket!!

Not a great one to give advice as my own game is pretty shot but I find when I get a touch of the J Arthurs with my wedges it is because I have become lazy with my swing and tempo so everything is out of synch. I have found that by trying to hit 3/4 shots making sure I turn shoulders and hips (a la a proper shot) helps. Then I just reduce the amount of turn as the shot becomes shorter.

Like I said probably not textbook and there will be tohers who will give you much better advice but it is a technique that works for me when I have the problem with my wedges

swing steady and get your hips open at address on shorter pitches as you wont have time to do it on your swing then you can keep i fairly quiet body
