putting?

And what grip do you use?

1. Traditional Overlap
2. Reverse Overlap (Left arm low)
3. The Claw
4. Other

For me its the traditional overlap (although just discovered that I havent been holding it correctly) and give myself 6/10.

Is there any such thing as not holding it correctly? If it works you cn hold it any way you like.
Not sure what you'd call mine - something like a 2-finger reverse overlap with twist and double somersault!!

Oh and about 6.5 - 7 on a good day.

For technical merit i give myself 5, but for artistic impression at least a 9. ;) ;)

Sure if aint broke dont fix it, but mine is broke. :(

Whats your definition of "if it works"? <36 putts a round?

Personally, around 30 but it depends on a lot of things. You can putt well and take 36, you can putt badly and take 32. A more useful figure is putts per GIR. For me this year that's 1.9.

I use the traditional grip and probably rate 6/10. I like the feel of the traditional grip.

I do find I am a lot more accurate with the reverse grip (left hand low) but can't seem to get the same amount of feel with it. Can't understand why but it lacks 'feel'.

I think my putting is good for my handicap and better than average overall so I would say 7.

I do need to get cut, playing off 15 my last 3 full rounds have been 81, 84 and 83. I have not had time to play much recently but practiced a lot!

Probably give myself 5 out of 10 for putting, not practiced it anywhere near as much as i should.

I use a 2 thumb grip on sideways and the normal reverse overlap. My grip is never the same for 2 putts in a row, i concentrate on where my balance is and keeping it steady through the stroke and controlling pace with my chest with the arms and club going with it.

Pretty solid from 6 feet and in but very rarely hole anything outside 10 feet, although distance control is pretty good.

Maybe thats a good thing. Just in the last few holes on Sunday I dabbled with the reverse grip. It does feel weird (because its a change) and I felt detached from the putter but signs were encouraging - but its early days :p

I've got a traditional grip but my putting really is shocking. Would give it 4/10 at the most. I reckon I could play off scratch quite easily if I could improve it. I blame it on being brought up on quite poor greens that were slow and flat. My new course has pretty good greens that slope abit and are pretty quick, I need alot of practise.

I use a reverse overlap (index finger from left hand overlapping right) like Tiger.. I found out he did it when I was a kid so obviously copied it!

Putting used to be the best part of my game but since Ive got all technical my putting stroke is a lot better technically than it was but isnt really functioning particularly well at the moment lol.... My teacher said to stick with it like I did when I changed my swing and hopefully it will click into place soon...

I'd rate my putting at about a 5/10

I've no idea what you call my grip, it's an overlap of some description and I'd probably say 6.5-7 at present. I need to cut out the odd 3 putt and drop a couple more birdies but in the main it's pretty good.
