Just been having some banter on another post about the Spurs game last night, made me wonder what other sports we take part in or follow?

I use to take part in Fencing, Rugby, Squash, Gymnastics, Cycling, Golf and Cricket, however, after many injuries and arthritis in my ankle Golf is my only form of activity.

Im a massive sports fan and follow The Neath-Swansea Ospreys every game, Only reason I support Spurs is due to living with 3 Arsenal fans at Uni.

I play footy on friday nights, 5-a-side and have an interest in motorsport, rallying etc Once a few debts are cleared Im hoping to get a car soley for racing round a track, competitive or not doesnt bother me, just to be able to do it would make me happy.
Also have afujifilm s9500 9mp camera, not a sport as such but have a bit of an interest in photography usually motorsport etc

I have played non-league football (for a season until an injury forced me to quit), league cricket, and as a kid tried atheltics and tennis.

I was introduced to golf as a nine year old and that was it really. I only got as far as I did in football by playing in mediocre teams and standing out enough to get picked up by coaches/scouts (was never ever going any further than Combined Counties). Golf took over and as most of you were aware I was the assistant at Wimbledon Common for a couple of years

over the years, football, hockey, swimming, water polo, rugby, basketball, fencing, smallbore and fullbore rifle, sporting clays, a little sailing (crew).
Considering I was always generously proportioned (and smoked like a chimney) it suddenly seems a lot.
Nowadays it's golf and a flop in or under the sea.

Football, rugby, ice hockey and darts.

was rubbish at football, rugby and ice hockey, played darts for a few years to a reasonable standard but golf was always my preferred choice, great to be playing again after a 12 year absence.

I used to do/teach martial arts: Karate, Thai boxing, Judo, grappling and Filipino martial arts. A combination of work and injuries put the blocks on that. Played Squash for a while and did a lot of running, but now it's only golf.

Plan for 2008 is to get back into running

I fenced epee at a reasonable level, and then took up golf. My other hobby is cycling, mountain biking for preference, but in the abscense of mountains, then road has to do.

5 a side footy usually try to play every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday depending on my shifts at least I do when I'm fit, just done my ankle ligiments last Friday so out for a few weeks

Was into motorbikes when I was younger and I used to go to lots of race meetings until last year. Was involved in an official capacity and contributed to one or two race publications with photos and write ups. I still love motorcycle racing and the danger is so apparent.

Anyway, back to golf now after a long break and I’m loving it again.

Yes I took the photo.

Rugby, cricket, swimming at school. Then canoeing, dingy sailing and lacrosse which I gave up at 40ish and took up squash for about 10 years. Now play racket ball and just taken up squash again. Must be mad

i also played non league football about 6years ago until family commitments took over in them days it was called the unibond league now its conference north and south.loved cricket at school and played county schoolboys.still play but only when i can.useless at darts and snooker think i tried nearly every sport going as a kid sports mad i was.ian mc

I used to play football, I also played pool to a high standard. Played cricket as a youngster also. I used to box during my nocturnal working years.

My main sport other than golf though has always been sea angling.

Nowadays I have resumed pool & snooker, play tennis in summer.

I will watch any sport I can, I love motorsports, football, darts, snooker, the list goes on.

In school it was hurling, gaelic football and cross country running-weekends hurling and football with the local club.
Played hurlign & football until i was 32 and suffered a broken collar bone and arm in the space of six months. Still have the old plate in the arm. Surgeon was Ray Moran brother of the great lionhearted Man U/Ireland defender Kevin Moran. Mind you Kevin Moran was a better Gaelic Footballer than a soccer player.
I wasLucky enough to play hurling for Dublin at U/16, U/18, U21 and Junior level.

Still go to gaelic games and rugby especially watching Leinster & Munster.

Until a hospital not far away nearly destroyed my knee, I was a premier league volleyballer. Those days are gone, but at least another hospital appear to have got my knee on the road to recovery now. In fact, my surgeon was the guy who fixed Michael Vaughan's knee - quality will out!

When I'm back to full fitness (only 3 months since op #4), I expect to be back terrorising the local 5-a-side football pitches.

Aside from the gym work, I'll be down to just football and golf these days - the hockey, cricket and rugby days are halcyon memories of summers past.

Can't get enough of watching the Toon (despite everything), football in general, rugby (the proper one - Union) especially the internationals, cricket and of course golf. Still some of my best sporting memories are from the excitement and tension from the likes of the Masters, the Open and of course that pulsating tension-fest, the Ryder Cup...well, until we started whuppin' the Yankees' butts all the time!

Basketball,Tennis,Futbol,Snooker, badminton,Hockey,Course Fishing, Sea Fishing, Fly Fishing, Watching most sports.

Im not keen on Cricket,Rugby,Gymnastics

At school I was a county rugby player, and played at a relatively high level until 4yrs ago (too many concussions forced me to retire. Also played footie but wasn't very good. Tried my hand at tennis and squash, and also used to do alot of middle distance track running and cross country.

Bizarrely despite having three club pro golfers in the family and my dad playing off 2 in his prime, I didn't pick up a club until 2 1/2yrs ago, probably my biggest regret as really struggling to improve now.

Have fluctated between 13/14 for ages but cannot commit enough practice to reduce h'cap any more.

By the way, did I mention "up the Gunners", that's especially for htl!!

Hockey was my main sport but golf and football and cricket have always been my passions. Had 2 trials for Chelsea schoolboys and the only reason I didn't get through was because I was crap....

Went to my first CFC match when I was 2 years old and have lived through there ups and downs ever since.

Now just cricket, golf and the odd bit of shooting in the season.
