Since I accidentally joined GM Forum nearly 3 years ago.. i have been addicted to it. I am soon approaching my 1K post milestone. Though I plan to stay on this forum for long, I am wondering what else is out there.

Todays Golfer Forum.. I had a look at the TG forum, and I must say I just did not get it. It is messy and looks like very infrequently used.

HDID forum.. Recently signed up as part of my club. It looks like a lot of people on it. But I havent figured it out. The postings look & feel look a bit wonkey.

I may have been spoiled by GM or am I missing something??

Golfwrx, definitely, only if you are sure of your masculinity though - those guys hit if miles further than us :D

You can laugh at them though over what membership costs in the good old US of A

I'm not a member, I just lurk, I don't feel I am worthy.

Just had a look at TG... God it's crap!!!

that's where i started my golf forum life, god it was quiet there! you could post a topic with a title like "i just hit a 350 yard driver" and it would take 2 days to get a reply! there were one or 2 good posters there and that was it, and they were here also.. one has just retired from here though this week in fact!

If you want to learn about Tact and Class, you should have been on BombSquadGolf a few years ago!

Still the ex-owner now (supposedly) owns a Lambo and a tuning shop creating 1000HP conversions!

I used to enjoy the BBC Golf Message Board (RIP). Quite a few from there went to the US Golf Observer site - as I did - but haven't been there for yonks. Not sure that they got our 'take' on golf and our 'humor' (sp?)

www.golfmagic.com has an active forum. I'm pretty certain there was an inter forum golf day a year or two back with this site. Another UK forum is www.modsquadgolf.com. Not as active as here or golfmagic but a good bunch of lads.

Golfwrx.com is a busy US forum. Bombsquadgolf died on it's ar*e about 2 or 3 years ago.

Maths not a strong subject for ya :ears:

Golfwrx has some serious technical addicts who are OTT about the technology- we all like a nice shiny here but they'll go into meltdown about the gramm weight difference in a new shaft enabling them to be laser accurate and longer- but still maintaining their 19 h/cap:smirk:

I was on Golfmagic a few years ago but the arguments and petty name calling was unbelievable- and that was just the mods

GM is the only forum I use :whoo:

I like wrx. Mostly because it gives such a completely different view of the golfing world to this one. A bit like going on holiday to somewhere very far away where they eat the bits of animals we normally throw away. Large quantities of salt required though (in both cases).

And sometimes it's nice to read scarily techy insights into various bits and pieces.

Golfmagic was the first golf forum I ever looked at. Funnily enough, it was a reference to weird goings on on the GM site on golfmagic that led me over here. The officiandos of such matters might be amused to know that it was a thread concerning the 'outing' of a mysterious berkshire based golfer found practicing when 'injured' if memory serves...

Same for me, there were a lot of good people on there but the level of posturing and crap from some just spoilt it.

I played in the GolfMagic vs GM match at Forest Pines, met some good guys, joined the GM forum and have felt no need to look elsewhere since.
