I can lag putt well, but sealing the deal with a 3 footer eludes me 4 times out of 5. I have tried cack handed putting (slight success), the saw grip ( big improvement), but am tempted to try a left handed putter (I'm a righty).
Anyone else tried this, and with what degree of success?
I even read Rotellas book, which has helped one aspect of my game - I don't throw the toys out of the pram when I miss now, so my next tee shot is still good.

I'm not a fan of odd putting techniques, most people who use them are bad putters. Have you ever been fitted for a putter ? Mate of mine was fitted a few weeks ago and his putter is miles better, ended up with the same putter but just a thicker grip and the shaft was shortened. I'd try fitting before going left handed, just too confusing imho

Putting lesson - simples

It sounds like either a problem with your alignment or you are trying to peek a look too early on the short ones. A lesson will get sorted and much cheaper than buying a left handed putter. It also means you won't have to sacrifice another club to carry two putters

I tried putting left handed and was better from 10 feet in, but outside of that was aweful. Did try carrying 2 putters (a leftie and rightie) but that lasted a single round, just too much faffing around.

If you are struggling with the short putts make a real conscious effort to keep your head still, and listen for the ball to drop, its easily said but hard to do, but if you can do it you wont miss as many of the shorties.
