I made enquiries on the Golfbidder site yesterday just to see what they'd give me for some clubs I'm toying with the idea of changing.

This is what they came back with. All Titleist clubs, all upgraded Proforce V2 stiff shafts, and all with headcovers and what I've said is 'good' (7) condition.

909D2 10.5deg driver £90
909F2 15.5deg 3 wood £70
909H 19deg hybrid £60

My initial opinion is the same as most on here, that Golfbidder quotes are always quite low.
Then I thought it might not be so bad by the time you've faffed around putting 3 adverts on ebay, waited for the auction to run its course, then you've got the ebay fees to pay and 3 separate clubs to box up and post.

What would you do?

What shaft flex and weight are they?

Its a fair offer considering they have to make a profit and there is minimum hassle of course so it isnt without benefit.

You would probably get more money on ebay, and to be honest I dont find ebay a hassle really when I have sold golf-gear as by and large the people that would buy these clubs are unlikely to be messers.

I would go down the ebay route and get maximum dosh or you never know, someone on here may be after them!

I only got £60 for my 909 six months ago.

Golf bidder seem to offer more for older clubs than when they are new. They sold my 909 for 160 odd, so made a tidy profit.

They are robbing b's, but it is convenient, as there are no come backs, and it is quick.

Up to you really.

Went in with one of my new Scottys 2 weeks ago (RedX3 one) I paid £70 in AG and they offerd me £100, happy days!

When I almost flogged all my gear a few days ago they offerd me £250 for my MP58. Like Murph said they are robbing b's.But they gotta make a profit.

I personally would not give them the satisfaction of buying them at that price. Stick them on here or on Ebay and wait a week. Then and only if there is no other option accept their offer.

Why are you selling up?

I thought it was a decent price, more than I expected really. It just makes me wonder if they're worth more than I thought.

I don't find dealing on ebay a hassle, but the big bugbear for me is the commission you have to pay.

The other possible problem is for some reason them not fetching as much as they should. You can put a reserve on but that means more fees too.

Ethan, do those shafts make them worth much more, if at all?

Long story wil send you a PM later.

like everyone else their in business to make money, they may bid peanuts but if they sit on the stock for 6-12 months the risk is on them. If you want a better price, sell private or via ebay, if you want a quick sale zapp them into G/b. this isnt a dig although if it has come across that way im sorry its not meant in that mannor, but they have overheads, running costs, and the risks involved with buying stock these days used or unused is huge, if their prepared to take a risk on buying your item without a seller in place then they need to make profit.

I've used Golfbidder many times and would recommend.

If you sell privately, you'll get more money but is it worth the hassle? That's the equation.

Didn't read it as a dig at all, but maybe the tone of my original post has been misinterpreted.

In no way was this intended to be a "Golfbidder prices are rubbish" thread.
I appreciate they have overheads, risks, and have to make a profit. It's because of that I was a little surprised at the prices they quoted me, in a good way.

Judging by a lot of the responses I think it's a decent price they've offered, and if I find something I hit straighter than them I think I'll be taking them up on it.

My mum lives quite close to their New Malden office so I took my Tour Burners and R9's down and negotiated in person. Great if you are prepared to travel I guess and at least they can quote based on the actual quality as opposed to a quote unseen
