Open Weekend at Linden Hall Golf Club

For anyone looking to join a club or to check out the facilities at Macdonald Linden Hall in Northumberland, there is an Open Weekend on 2nd and 3rd April.

The free coaching on the Sunday is by yours truly.

Everyone is welcome to come along and see the set up, membership offers and coaching available. The practice facilities are excellent and with one of the best short game practice areas i've seen. It's a very friendly and sociable club, i've had a working relationship there for over 5 years and it's one of my favourite places to play golf and spend time with friends.

can't make that particular weekend as i have a previous engagement...would however be interested to know what the membership is on a "play only" basis...the reason i say this as that i believe the course is only in decent nick for about 4 months of the year...for the remainder of the year the course is far far too wet underfoot to enjoy a round of golf...plugged balls on fairways etc...point is that the membership on a "play only" basis would not justify a cost much in excess of say what rothbury charge...!!

I'd consider playing there again,if 'cheap' enough'...I can vouch for how wet it was when I played,still enjoyed it.Had a great deal through Groupon....bacon sarnie,coffee 50 balls to hit on the range and a round...£19...

My main attachment is Goswick but i do teach at Linden and have good friends there, play it all year round and attend a lot of the social events. Really enjoy the course and the atmosphere of the club.
Anytime you want a game there, give me a shout.
The Par 3's are some of my favourite anywhere.

the par 3's were tremendous..the 'pressure' of trying to get over the water and on the green for a newcomer...loved it...
