Open Tickets Question

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone has been to The Open in the past with an under 21s tickets? If so, did they ask for proof of age? A friend of mine has a spare ticket as his brother can't go, but it is an under 21 ticket. I am 26 but have a bit of a babyface due to being unable to grow a decent amount of facial hair haha. If I was to use it and get caught out could I just pay the extra to make it up to an adult ticket?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Just go for it and tell them sorry I don't have any ID with me but yes sir I am 20...

If they do ask just say sorry I forgot my ID. If they refuse entry without ID then offer to pay the difference.

Wear an oversize baseball hat, a t-shirt 2 sizes too small,pull your jeans half way down your arse, look into your phone constantly and top of with a grunt. You'll be fine.

Anyone been? How strict were the ticket entry staff? Any 16-21 year olds get ID'd?

I've just been for 2 days and got in as a 16-21 year old. I'm 33. I wore a cap and had £30 ready in my hand. No questions asked. Also my brother did who is 36!!
