Hope you have a better time than I did at Sandwich. 5 hours to get there from about 60 miles......... fortunately, lytham isnt Sandwich!

I am there for the week. Lytham is a good place to go. Plenty of good Restaurants and pubs to visit as well.

Don't forget, the Womens Open is at Royal Liverpool in September. I'll be taking my little girl and trying to get her to realize that ladies golf is cool... And in no way will I be perving at the golfers. Oh no, I'll just be there for the golf, i mean legs, no I mean golf....

Yes matey we are going to the lot. Season ticket I think they call it. Managed to get somewhere to stay as well in Lytham the course is about 5 mins walk away so should be good hope for a bit of nice weather as well and jobs a good un.

No chance, saving the rest of the cash for actually playing golf lol £60 a day is pretty steep but worth it to see the pros.
I'm not a member no, only started playing last year so just playing pay and plays. Stanley park is the usual course because it's cheap but have been found at garstang and staining.

Played Garstang ,which is ok and played Stanley few times which is a nice laid out course but use to get busy..
Use to work that way and mates house backs onto North Shore gc,trying to get invite there so can give him some friendly abuse over his garden fence:whoo:

Hottest I've ever been on a golf course was watching the Open at Lytham in 1996 when Tom Lehman won it.
Sat behind the 13th green, it must have been 100 degrees with not a hint of breeze.

Probably Tues as Wed is the day before tournament starts so they are all in serious mode!! Tues and before is a lot more relaxed and most of them will be more than obliging for pictures,autographs etc
