Open qualifying change - not happy !

Just saw that the RandA have changed the Open qualifying process.

Instead of the 36 holes at Sunningdale they are giving places based on specific PGA and European Tour events.

Good for the pros, bad for those of us who think that open qualifying at Sunningdale is the best golf spectating day out of the year (alongside the US open qualifying at Walton Heath).

Hope the US open doesn't bomb out as well....

I have been to Walton Heath the last two years. Great days out for free. Fingers crossed it will be on again next year.
