Rangers and Hibs are currently vying to finish 2nd in the championship, not very salubrious but it is what it is.

It looks like it's going to come down to the last day of the season.Rangers play Hearts, Hibs play Falkirk. You'd expect both games to kick off at the same time given the relative importance of the games and to ensure fair play. But no, Rangers fixture has been moved 24 hours later for TV, giving them a clear and obvious advantage.

Only in Scotland.

Well maybe not only in Scotland (see 6Nations Rugby) - however I agree - if I were Hibees I'd kick up a real stink. Hoping The Rangers get a total dicking if arrangements stay as they are. The Rangers - the Scottish 'establishment' club.

Another aspect is that the Hibs/Falkirk game should be the better game to watch since both teams will still have something to play for, whereas Hearts season finished some time ago.

I guess even at that it's considered that more people would watch Rangers/Hearts.

Been really looking forward to the play-off carnage too, shame for the fans who had travel/work booked for the Saturday and only get two weeks notice

Still at least now there will be plenty cameras for the trophy presentation/party :D

What paranoid nonsense you two spout!!

The TV company's £s will have dictated this, nothing more. Obviously.

so you think there's not more value in having both games on at the same time, maybe even split screening. There's more money is just showing one game?Nothing more than that?

Nothing to do with The TV companies/SPFL desperate to get Rangers back into the top division and giving them any kind of advantage they can think of?

Do we have to do the guard of honour thingy again? ;)

I think it'd be great to have both games shown at the same time but there's not much value if the TV company doesn't want to show it? Or are you suggesting the SPFL have blocked that simply to give Rangers the tenuous advantage of playing later?

Just your paranoid delusions, I think.

I think Sky/ESPN or whoever are very keen for Rangers to gain promotion asap.If allowing them full knowledge of the required result by changing the date of their fixture helps that aim, then yes I think they're being given an unfair sporting advantage.

Imagine if Chelsea and Arsenal were fighting for the last Champs league spot and separated by goal difference.Do you think sporting integrity would allow for those games to be played at different times, giving one an obvious advantage?

you really can't see ANYTHING unfair in this fixture change?

I completely agree it is unfair and not the right thing to do.

I utterly reject the notion that it is a deliberate ploy to give Rangers an advantage. Just the usual taking advantage of the OF support by shifting their game about for TV, mixed in with SPFL incompetence in not realising the potential unfairness in the resulting fixtures.
