Only hit two bad shots over 18 holes..

Very windy today but bright and dry, had a lovely round with a chap I met on the tee. The wind was so strong at times it really affected putting let alone anything else.

Yet I hit everything sweet except two shots.
Hit a driver downwind but sliced a bit, it went clean onto next door fairway but could we hell as like find it. The provisional I hit went 320 yds but I still only made 6 in the end. The other error was an easy 9 iron to a 158yd green where it hit the back, ran through and under trees, but I recovered nicely but only for 4. Shot 81 , 34 putts and I was mighty pleased with it overall.(very windy)
10 pars/7 bogey's/1 double bogey.

A very enjoyable round.

I played last night. Bang on css for once. Pretty happy with that, didn't 3 putt either but still took 32 putts .
Ball striking decent and generally pretty straight. Looking forward to the next game now.

I had a knock by myself again yesterday and yes, the wind was quite bad. The old cliche "game of two halves" was very apparent for me.

Went out in gross 42 which was 1 under for my handicap, then had an absolute nightmare back 9 and came home in 54 for an 8 over my handicap horror story.

I had dropped shots on 4 consecutive holes including 2 lost balls on a par 5 that i finished with a 10

Still, I made par on S.I 1, 2, 3 & 4 and only just missed birdies on the 2 toughest holes by a few millimetres and my play deserved a better score.

Ah well....here's looking forward to Friday!
